Following the update from the Prime Minister on Sunday, we want to inform customers that there are currently no changes to the existing measures we have put in place.
A handful of our stores remain open, all of which are providing essential supplies. These include Heron Foods, B&M, Boots, Superdrug, Holland & Barrett, Bargain Buys and Specsavers (for essential or urgent services only), as well as The Fruitarian and Colledge’s Butchers, Larvin’s Larder and Nigel’s Fresh Fish in the indoor market.
We wish to remind all our customers that all non-essential stores are currently closed and will remain so until further notice, with this period likely to run until early June for shops and early July for cafes and restaurants at the earliest in line with the government’s conditional reopening criteria.
We are currently working on implementing new signage throughout the centre that will assist and guide customers as we continue reduced operations and as more stores begin to reopen in the coming weeks and months.
Unfortunately, the toilets remained closed following guidance. This is purely for the safety of customers and staff and we need visitors to do a ‘straight in, straight out’ visit with us which means no loitering in the centre or staying for anything other than essential shopping.
We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and have been adhering to the advice issued by Public Health England and the Government to ensure that access to essential stores is maintained in line with the correct health and safety guidelines.
We want to say a huge thanks to all our wonderful staff, retailers and of course customers for being very supportive and cooperative during these difficult times. We can’t wait to welcome you back to a fully-operational shopping centre in the (hopefully) never near future.
