In recent weeks, there has been a rise of confirmed COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) cases in the UK.
As part of Idlewells’ ongoing commitment to health and safety procedures, we have taken a number of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus and to protect the health of our shoppers and employees.
We’ve installed hand sanitisers at each entrance for the public to use which has been promoted on the companies Facebook page to over 12,500 followers.
From an operational perspective, there is an increased frequency of cleaning regimes, especially at ‘touch points’ such as door handles, car park payment kiosks, visitor signing in screens and public toilets and the Idlewells team now use higher strength cleaning products as part of their daily cleaning duties.
We have also placed information leaflets supplied by the Government in public toilets which include washing hands for a minimum of 20 seconds.
Idlewells wish to inform customers not to visit the centre if they are showing any signs or symptoms of the virus. Most importantly, Idlewells advises all shoppers, customers and staff members to take extra caution and follow Government guidance to ensure everyone stays safe.
We will continue to take the best advice from the relevant authorities and will update customers and employees with any further developments.
