We’ve welcomed another big name under our roof after Vodafone recently launched its latest store.
Vodafone opened its doors at Idlewells on Friday 25th October, with a flurry of activity to mark the launch including party bags of sweets and cupcakes for shoppers, balloons, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an in-store competition running from 25th to 31st October with a prize draw to win £150 worth of Love2shop vouchers.
Vodafone hosted a surprise flash mob which included some well-choreographed dance routines – catching the eye of passing shoppers and adding extra excitement around the launch of this latest addition to Idlewells’ growing portfolio of retailers.
For Centre Manager, Chloe O’Donnell, adding another well-known national name in Vodafone to the centre’s long list of stores shows that retailers are recognising Sutton-in-Ashfield as a desirable place to set up shop, with significant income potential.
“We have a thriving local economy in the town which continues to go from strength to strength – so welcoming Vodafone shows that we are moving in the right direction and maintaining our positive momentum by continuing to attract household names,”
Despite growing concerns that the number of UK high street shops is on the decline, Chloe is delighted to see Idlewells continue to buck the trend – with only 5 of its 43 units empty at present and footfall remaining high.
“Our offering for shoppers is both varied and attractive and continues to grow with the likes of Vodafone, JD Sports and New Look, as well as a host of other popular national names and independents. We continue to talk to shoppers on a daily basis in order to gather their feedback and ensure that we are both representative and relevant for visitors,”
“We are delighted to welcome Vodafone to Idlewells and look forward to working together going forward!”
